Unplanned pregnancy may cause a woman to face many life threatening situations – physical, mental, professional or social. Accidental pregnancy can easily occur due to unprotected intercourse, condom breakage or forgetting to take regular birth control pills. In many cases, the woman may not have any realistic alternatives other than abortion or menstrual regulation (MR), which may lead to severe depression.

However, a woman can avoid these complications, if she takes Norix emergency contraceptive pills within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.

Dosages and Administration

• The first tablet must be taken as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours but not later than 72 hours after unprotected intercourse.
• The second tablet should be taken 12 hours after the first dosage.
• If any vomiting occurs within 02 hours of taking a tablet, another tablet should be taken immediately.
