Emergency contraceptive pills are post-coital oral pills which, if taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse, can provide effective protection from unplanned pregnancies.

Norix is an emergency contraceptive pill where:

• Each tablet contains 0.75 milligrams of Levonorgestrel BP.
• Each cycle of Norix consists of two tablets.

Mode of Action:

• It prevents or delays ovulation.
• It prevents fertilization of eggs either by affecting the cervical mucus of females, or by preventing the sperms from binding with the eggs.
